TechGirls is an Initiative of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs

The fully funded international exchange program will together all these young women for an amazing four-week journey in the USA

TechGirls 2024 Deadline:

The application deadline for the TechGirls Exchange Program 2024 is 8 December 2023 at 12:00 PM noon

Selection will be completed will March -2024

You should be considering what is TechGirls. TechGirls is a US-based trade program for young girls who need to seek after professions in science and innovation! This trade program is a stage to rouse, support, and enable young ladies from one side of the planet to the other.

Selected countries around the world to pursue higher education and careers in in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields through hands-on skills development training with American technologists.

Girls Born on or between July 13, 2006 and July 13, 2009;

The camp is complemented by additional activities such as site visits to technology companies, leadership workshops, job shadow experiences, community service opportunities, cultural/recreational events, and homestays with American families. 

Meet U.S. J-1 visa eligibility requirements (for instance, U.S. citizens are not eligible for a J-1 visa).

Techgirls Exchange Program 2024:

PROGRAM LENGTH

4 weeks

Eligibility Criteria:

  • United States, Albania, Algeria, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Costa Rica, Cyprus,  Ecuador, Egypt, Fiji, Greece, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestinian Territories, Panama, Peru, Rwanda, South Africa, Suriname, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkiye, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Zambia
  • Young Girls ages of 15 and 17 at the start of the exchange
  • Can present in Technology, engineering, and/or math in their academic studies
  • English language skills
  • Commitment to complete a follow-on project upon her return home
  • Will to pursue in Technology for higher studies
  • Additional secondary school semester upon return. 
  • No prior experience in the United States, candidate will be preferred

  • For Transcript: Please upload your most recent academic transcript (a copy of your grades provided by your school). We accept transcripts in your native language. It does NOT need to be in English.
