FULLY FUNDED GERMANY VISA DESY HOME SUMMER STUDENTS PROGRAM 2024

SSP (Summer Students Program): 8 Week 16 July - 5 September 2024.

Undergraduate students in physics or related disciplines the opportunity to obtain first-hand research experience at a large international laboratory. Summer students are expected to work 39 hours per week (including project work and lectures).

Location: Hamburg or Zeuthen (Berlin)

Last Date to Apply: Deadline 31st January 2024

Research projects can be categorized into different types of activities: 

  1. Practical work on detectors or experimental equipment
  2. Physics data analysis 
  3. Software development 
  4. Theory and scientific computing

Benefits:

  • 1200 Euros/month Salary
  • Travel reimbursement 
  • Stay in the DESY Hostel (at reduced rates) during the full program period.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • At least three years of full-time studies at university level in physics 
  • Research in above mentioned fields
